First Construction Team Leaves for Swaziland

The first Swaziland construction team will be leaving on Tuesday, April 22. The team (and Heidi, who will be staying in Swaziland for several months to assist Pastor Kevin Ward) will be commissioned during the weekend services of April 19 & 20. This team will not only construct buildings and homes but they will also lay the foundations of our partnership with the people of Swaziland. They are going to need our help! Prayer . . . prayer . . . prayer! I encourage everyone to set aside some daily prayer times in support of our team, Kevin Ward and his ministry, and the country of Swaziland.

Pretrip jitters

It seems like all we are doing is packing, repacking and checking the list. The washing machine keeps running as we are finding other things to wash and pack. The best advice I can give is to take time to hug a lot and say "I Love You!" In the end, that extra pair of jeans won't matter if you part ways with regrets.

Just a note to let everyone know that the team made it out of the USA safely and on time. Things at the Dayton Airport went very smoothly and the TSA agents were very accomodating as we wrapped the teams' baggage in plastic to help prevent theft of the tools and other materials the men are carrying for our building project.

God has been evident in the planning details for this trip and I anticipate that He will reveal Himself to the team in many ways in the coming weeks. Please continue to pray for their safety, health and protection and ask God to use them in amazing and life-changing ways.
